GREETING CARD DESIGNERS
DVD Greeting Cards is a growing business that needs the talent,
passion, and creativity of a professional designer. We are looking for
a few designers to create a unique line of
Christmas cards, birth announcements, graduation announcements, and
wedding invitations. You will work from your home and on your own
computer, so you do not need to live in the Seattle area. As a designer for
DVD Greeting Cards, your profile will be featured on our website and in
marketing materials. You may also have a link back to your own web site
or business.
SKILLS NECESSARY
-proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator
-knowledge of the off-set and digital printing process and an understanding of the CMYK
color profiles and how best
to achieve an accurate color match between your design and the printed product.
-creative design sense for greeting cards
-excellent communication skills
-the ability to meet a deadline
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
-send us a cover letter, resume, and sample work.
-in your cover letter include the following information:
~describe your design style
~why you want to create a unique line of cards for DVD Greeting
Cards
~your design experience
~your passions and interests
~your desired compensation
-send a printed or digital sample of your work. You can send multiple
samples, but you must include two sample birth announcement (one that
allows for a photo and one without) and two sample
Christmas cards (one that allows for a photo and one without).
-your sample cards must be your own work and not copied or modified from
someone else's card or idea.
